Lauren McLaughlin: February Special Edition

Joining us today on the program is young adult science fiction writer, Lauren McLaughlin, via Skype. She was chatting with us from across the pond! (Okay, we could have said England, but we really just wanted to say "across the pond.") Lauren's third novel, Scored, recently came out from Random House.

This book is fascinating, you guys. It should definitely be added to your "to read" list, even if you're not usually a fan of science fiction.

In the interview, Lauren talks to us about the process of writing a novel after being a screenwriter, and then learn screenwriting all over again when asked to do the screenplay of one of her books. She also discusses the themes of Scored and the research involved in its creation. Lauren gave us a really great interview, so please give it a listen and let us know what you think.
